This contract position as a Bilingual Educational Diagnostician involves working with a diverse population in the greater Austin area, supporting both middle school students and selected elementary cases. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including school psychologists and ARD facilitators, while utilizing your expertise in conducting assessments and evaluations in English and Spanish. The flexible, full-time role features the possibility of a hybrid schedule—while testing must be completed onsite, several other duties may be managed remotely.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification, with school-based experience
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to complete bilingual evaluations
  • Previous experience working with middle and elementary school populations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and special education eligibility requirements
  • Ability to facilitate or participate in ARD meetings
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive in-person bilingual assessments for middle school students (and some elementary cases)
  • Prepare detailed, data-driven reports and communicate findings clearly to staff and families
  • Attend ARDs with support from dedicated facilitators
  • Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and school psychologists to ensure cohesive support for students
  • Help identify student needs and guide the development of individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold compliance with all relevant policies
