This position is scheduled for 29 hours per week, providing a structured yet flexible environment. While school assignments are to be determined, you’ll primarily be collaborating on crucial preschool evaluations at the outset. Utilizing your expertise, you'll contribute to multidisciplinary teams and ensure each child’s needs are thoroughly evaluated and documented.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education Educational Diagnostician Certification required
- Demonstrated experience conducting educational assessments and writing eligibility reports for students ages 3-21
- Familiarity with K-12 populations and special education processes
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals
- District-specific background check and fingerprinting must be completed prior to start
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for students, initially focusing on preschool age
- Complete timely, detailed assessment reports and participate in eligibility meetings
- Provide insightful recommendations that guide instructional strategies and support plans
- Support state and federal compliance requirements in all documentation and processes
- Serve as a resource to multi-disciplinary teams in developing and implementing IEPs
