Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Boyd, Texas

You'll work full-time during the academic year and play a vital role in supporting approximately 90 students, supporting their diverse learning needs through diagnostic assessments and tailored educational recommendations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Certification as an Educational Diagnostician
• Proven experience conducting formal educational evaluations in a school setting
• Familiarity with special education laws and processes
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable supporting intermediate grade-level students

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for students referred for special education services
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
• Interpret assessment data and articulate findings to various stakeholders during ARD/IEP meetings
• Comply with state and federal guidelines for special education diagnoses
• Maintain accurate, confidential student records and documentation
• Support the instructional team through ongoing consultation and professional recommendations
