Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Burleson, Texas

In this full-time, contract position, you’ll collaborate closely with students, families, and staff while leveraging your bilingual skills (Spanish & English required) across two schools in the district.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in related field
• Valid Texas classroom teaching certificate
• Minimum of 3 years full-time teaching experience
• Must have passed the state certification exam for educational diagnosticians
• Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Prior school-based experience as an Educational Diagnostician required
• Willingness to obtain mandatory fingerprint clearance as part of the credentialing process

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic assessments for students spanning K-12
• Complete timely and thorough reports, offering recommendations for instructional support and services
• Participate actively in eligibility determination and ARD/IEP meetings
• Travel as an itinerant diagnostician between two school campuses as assigned
• Communicate assessment findings and strategies clearly to families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain meticulous records and uphold compliance with district, state, and federal policies
