Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Crowley, Texas

Make a meaningful difference in students’ educational journeys by utilizing your expertise as an Educational Diagnostician. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work onsite with middle school—and potentially some high school—students for the duration of the assignment, scheduled from now through early June, 2027.

As the sole diagnostician in this role, you’ll manage a robust caseload, including direct assessment, evaluations, and re-evaluations, supporting approximately 100-120 active students. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and educators to deliver high-quality services and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. This position offers exposure to a diverse district environment and meaningful opportunities to impact student success.

Applicants should meet all Texas certification requirements and bring a history of effective practice with student populations in the school setting. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and assessment skills are essential.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Educator Certificate
• Master’s degree required
• Educational Diagnostician certification from the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC)
• Minimum of three years of creditable teaching experience
• Ability to work onsite and engage with students and staff professionally
• Skilled in conducting evaluations for special education eligibility and re-evaluations

Key Responsibilities:
