Educational Diagnostician
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Area
Assignment Dates: August 3, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day)
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Educational Diagnostician to join for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, itinerant position supporting multiple elementary campuses throughout the district. The selected candidate will work with students in Pre-K through 5th grade, conducting comprehensive evaluations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational and academic evaluations for students in Pre-K through 5th grade.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with school teams, families, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Manage an average caseload of 10–13 evaluations per month.
- Travel between assigned elementary campuses as needed (specific school assignments will be determined).
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid Texas classroom teaching certificate.
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time classroom teaching experience.
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification (or successful completion of the state certification exam).
- Previous school-based experience is required.
Credentialing Requirements
Candidates must complete all district onboarding requirements prior to their start date. If fingerprints have not been completed recently through another Texas public school district, fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) will be required. Fingerprint processing typically takes up to 7 days, and candidates cannot begin work until the district confirms clearance.
