Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Decatur, Texas

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active certification as an Educational Diagnostician
• Prior experience in a school-based or similar educational setting strongly preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of special education eligibility criteria, standardized assessments, and relevant state/federal guidelines
• Strong organizational skills for managing caseload and documentation
• Effective communication skills with students, families, multidisciplinary teams, and administrative staff
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to determine student eligibility for special education services
• Develop comprehensive evaluation reports aligned with federal and state regulations
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, providing expertise on assessment results and recommended services
• Maintain current, accurate, and confidential records in accordance with district and legal requirements
• Serve as a liaison between educators, families, and support staff to ensure student needs are met
• Support staff and student progress through ongoing data collection and informal assessment as needed
