Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Dulce, New Mexico

Step into a vital role supporting students as a contract Educational Diagnostician working with PreK-12 learners near Dulce, NM. This position is designed for a full-time professional to enhance services and continuity, although strong part-time candidates will also be considered. Hybrid work arrangements are welcome, allowing for a blend of on-site and limited at-home flexibility, although full-remote work is not an option. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply, especially those currently certified in New Mexico.

Key Qualifications:

• Active New Mexico Educational Diagnostician certification required
• Demonstrated experience conducting student assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Broad knowledge of PreK-12 educational standards and special education compliance procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proven ability to manage caseloads and prioritize tasks in a dynamic school environment
• Open to hybrid work arrangements; ability to commute reliably for on-site services

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive psycho-educational assessments for students PreK-12
• Interpret evaluation results and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Participate in eligibility, IEP, and team meetings as a diagnostic expert
• Maintain clear, compliant documentation and reporting
• Support colleagues with consultation and ongoing student progress monitoring
