This full-time, on-site contract role invites experienced professionals to provide assessment and consultation services throughout the school year, typically working with one or two schools at a time. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification in Texas.
- Previous experience working within school settings as an Educational Diagnostician.
- Strong foundation in special education eligibility determination, evaluation procedures, and standardized testing administration.
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Skilled at communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences, including students, parents, and professionals.
- Adaptable, organized, and capable of managing a dynamic caseload across multiple locations.
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal assessments for students referred for special education services and re-evaluations.
- Interpret assessment data and collaborate with school teams to develop actionable educational plans.
- Facilitate ARD/IEP meetings by presenting evaluation findings and supporting effective goal-setting.
- Consult and provide guidance to teachers, parents, and support staff regarding accommodations and instructional strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all evaluation and reporting timelines are met.
- Travel between one to two assigned schools as needed.
