Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification required
  • Master’s degree in Special Education is essential
  • Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
  • Experience conducting educational assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong understanding of federal and state laws regarding special education
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to navigate culturally diverse school communities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer evaluations and assessments to identify students’ academic and behavioral needs
  • Develop, interpret, and present diagnostics to guide appropriate educational interventions
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement IEPs
  • Maintain detailed and compliant documentation consistent with district and state guidelines
  • Serve as an advocate and resource for both teachers and families to promote student development
  • Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in Special Education
