You’ll be supporting learners by evaluating their needs, drafting in-depth reports, and actively participating in meetings to shape their academic supports.
In this role, you’ll travel between two schools, engaging with various age groups across the district. Your expertise will help foster student success and enable educators to tailor interventions effectively. The position requires on-site presence, so your collaborative spirit and hands-on approach will be key assets.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and a current Texas classroom teaching certificate
- Three years of full-time classroom teaching experience
- Successful completion of the Texas Educational Diagnostician state certification exam
- Previous school-based experience in a similar setting
- Extensive knowledge of assessment, evaluation procedures, and special education processes
- Fingerprinting for credentialing, as required by district guidelines
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus (separate opportunity available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for students across designated campuses
- Prepare detailed psychoeducational reports and present findings in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop, review, and revise individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' educational needs
- Occasionally travel between two assigned schools to provide equitable support
