Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, Psychology, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working in K-12 settings, ideally spanning 1st through 9th grades.
  • Proficiency in evaluating students, developing educational plans, and interpreting assessment data.
  • Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, educational interventions, and IEP processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Organizational skills and adaptability to changing caseloads and diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for students in grades 1-9 to identify learning needs and eligibility for special education services.
  • Interpret assessment results, prepare detailed evaluation reports, and help develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and family members to implement and monitor interventions.
  • Attend and actively participate in ARD/IEP meetings to ensure appropriate service delivery.
  • Provide consultative support to staff about instructional strategies, accommodations, and compliance with educational standards.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and adhere to program guidelines and deadlines.
