Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, Psychology, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in K-12 settings, ideally spanning 1st through 9th grades.
- Proficiency in evaluating students, developing educational plans, and interpreting assessment data.
- Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, educational interventions, and IEP processes.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Organizational skills and adaptability to changing caseloads and diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for students in grades 1-9 to identify learning needs and eligibility for special education services.
- Interpret assessment results, prepare detailed evaluation reports, and help develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and family members to implement and monitor interventions.
- Attend and actively participate in ARD/IEP meetings to ensure appropriate service delivery.
- Provide consultative support to staff about instructional strategies, accommodations, and compliance with educational standards.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and adhere to program guidelines and deadlines.
