Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Friendswood, Texas

In this full-time, contract role, you'll work 37.5 hours per week and play a vital part in helping young learners thrive, all while collaborating with dedicated school professionals. Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification as an Educational Diagnostician
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong analytical and assessment skills
• Understanding of educational law, procedures, and eligibility criteria
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced academic environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive academic and behavioral assessments for elementary students
• Administer and interpret a variety of evaluation tools in both Spanish and English
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and review student progress
• Provide clear, comprehensive written and oral reports of findings and recommendations
• Stay informed on best practices in assessment and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Support and consult with staff regarding strategies for students with identified needs
