An opportunity is available for experienced Educational Diagnosticians to support K-12 students at multiple school sites in the Fruitland, NM area. This role involves conducting thorough evaluations and re-evaluations to determine student exceptionality, providing critical diagnostic insights to guide educational planning and intervention within the school community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting a minimum of 65 evaluations per school year to assess student needs accurately
  • Preparing comprehensive diagnostic reports summarizing pre-diagnostic information, administered test results, student strengths and weaknesses, and recommended interventions
  • Managing resources such as supplies, materials, and equipment related to assessment activities
  • Actively participating in Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, parent and teacher conferences, and relevant in-service training sessions

Qualifications desired for this contract position:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) Educational Diagnostician K-12 license (900)
  • National Board Certification for Educational Diagnosticians preferred
  • Strong organizational skills to handle caseload requirements and reporting
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and students

This contract role requires onsite presence during regular school hours (37.5 hours per week) and supports educational needs for the comprehensive school year (CSY) period starting in late May 2026.
