Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Garland, Texas

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a school setting
• Familiarity with conducting and interpreting educational assessments
• Comfortable facilitating and participating in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
• Strong collaboration skills working with educators and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage a full elementary school caseload effectively

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for elementary students
• Interpret assessment results and generate detailed reports
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create effective educational plans
• Actively participate in ARD meetings, ensuring compliance and advocating for student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district/state guidelines
• Provide consultative support to staff regarding instructional strategies, interventions, and accommodations
