Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas
- Experience in conducting comprehensive student evaluations and assessments
- Strong knowledge of eligibility criteria for special education services under IDEA
- Ability to interpret assessment data and communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to partnering with educators, families, and staff
- Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
- Previous experience in a school or district setting is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
- Compile, analyze, and interpret evaluation results for eligibility determination and program planning
- Prepare clear, concise written reports and present findings in meetings with staff and families
- Develop recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Serve as a resource and consultant to teachers, administration, and parents
- Help ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding special education services
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of all evaluations and consultations
