Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Garland, TX

This position will work with students in grades 5 through 8, providing essential assessments and collaborating with faculty to enhance student success.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified Educational Diagnostician with a valid credential
• Experience in school-based diagnostic assessment and eligibility determination
• Strong understanding of federal and state special education regulations
• Proficient in conducting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
• Ability to interpret data and prepare clear, actionable reports
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills when working with students, staff, and parents
• Prior work with middle school-aged students is highly valued

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special services to develop strategies and supports
• Compile and present assessment results for IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning
• Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in accordance with local and state guidelines
• Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to plan interventions and track student progress
• Provide professional guidance to support faculty in differentiating instruction
