Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Grand Prairie, Texas

Make a direct impact supporting elementary students as an Educational Diagnostician for a contract position starting as soon as possible and running through May 21, 2027. This part-time opportunity allows you to focus on what matters—helping students thrive academically and emotionally—while collaborating closely with a dedicated school psychologist.

You’ll handle an elementary (K-5) caseload, conducting assessments, writing evaluation reports, and assisting in shaping services to best support students’ diverse needs. With a flexible 20-hour work week, you’ll maintain balance while contributing your professional expertise within a supportive educational environment.

What you bring:

• Current certification or eligibility as an Educational Diagnostician
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly within a school setting
• Strong knowledge of special education assessment tools and legal requirements
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to providing equitable educational opportunities

Responsibilities include:

• Administering educational assessments for students in grades K-5
• Interpreting and communicating evaluation results to staff and families
• Preparing clear, comprehensive diagnostic reports
• Consulting with teachers, school psychologists, and administrative staff on student needs and accommodations
• Contributing to development and support of individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Staying current on best practices and legal requirements in special education assessment
