Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician (state requirements met)
- Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or related field
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments within a school environment
- Deep understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and other relevant federal/state education regulations
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to engage positively with families, teachers, and support staff
- Organizational strength for managing caseloads and deadlines efficiently
- Commitment to inclusivity and a strong team-player mindset
Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized tests and interpret results to determine students’ educational needs
- Collaborate with school personnel and parents to develop effective intervention strategies, accommodations, and IEP/504 recommendations
- Document and present findings using clear, actionable reports
- Participate in eligibility decision-making meetings
- Offer consultation to teachers/staff regarding best practices for student support
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with policies and timelines
