Step into a dynamic educational environment as an Educational Diagnostician, supporting students and collaborating closely with dedicated school professionals. Multiple contract opportunities are available, each offering unique experiences and the chance to make a real impact in special education settings.

Available assignments include:

  • Campus-based Diagnostician roles at both elementary and middle school levels, involving comprehensive testing, student observations, ARD meeting participation, and consultation with teachers and staff.
  • Evaluation-only positions housed at the district's Special Education building, where you will travel to serve a variety of campuses and student populations.
  • A specialized Play-Based Assessment Diagnostician role focused on evaluating ECI students (ages 2-3), working closely with a multidisciplinary team—including psychology, speech therapy, and occupational therapy experts.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Endorsement (TX Ed Diag), easily verifiable via the state’s online certification system
  • Experience with assessment, observation, and report writing in an educational setting
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially regarding ARDs, educational teams, and families
  • Comfort working onsite and navigating different campus environments
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to balance multiple assignments, caseloads, and student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and recommend supports or interventions
  • Attend and contribute to ARD meetings as an expert voice for evaluation and student needs
  • Prepare thorough, accurate reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Consult with general and special education teachers, administrators, and support staff
