You'll play a key part in conducting assessments, developing individualized education plans, and facilitating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, ensuring all students receive the most appropriate educational services. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is essential for this position, enabling you to effectively communicate with students, families, and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified Educational Diagnostician with relevant experience
- Bilingual: Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Comfortable conducting and participating in ARD meetings
- Experience working with elementary school-aged students
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local guidelines related to special education
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform formal and informal diagnostic assessments of students within elementary caseloads
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Participate actively in ARD meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and parent engagement
- Communicate assessment results, educational recommendations, and progress updates to families and staff
- Provide recommendations for instructional strategies and interventions tailored to student needs
