5th Grade 2nd Grade Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Irving, Texas

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
• Experience working with students in 1st through 9th grade
• Strong understanding of special education laws and assessment practices
• Ability to administer and interpret educational and psychological assessments
• Skilled in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Open to flexible, contract-based school assignments

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct educational and cognitive assessments for students suspected of learning differences or disabilities
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to interpret results and recommend accommodations
• Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs in partnership with teachers, families, and other support professionals
• Provide consultation and coaching on instructional modifications and behavioral interventions
• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with regulatory policies
• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, contributing expertise and advocacy for student needs
