What You'll Bring:

• Proficiency in both Spanish and English is essential
• Master’s degree in a related field
• Valid Texas classroom teaching certificate
• Successful completion of the state certification exam for educational diagnosticians
• At least three years of full-time teaching experience
• Prior experience working in a school-based setting
• Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with diverse families, students, and multidisciplinary teams
• Thorough understanding of assessment methods, report writing, and special education processes
• Ability to work itinerantly between two schools as assigned
• Must complete fingerprinting for credentialing

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct formal educational assessments for students requiring evaluation
• Compose evidenced-based reports detailing findings and recommendations
• Attend admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) meetings and actively participate in multidisciplinary decision-making
• Communicate clearly with families and staff in both English and Spanish
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
• Comply with all state and district guidelines relating to special education
