Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a school environment
- Strong background in administering, scoring, and interpreting educational and cognitive assessments
- In-depth understanding of federal and state regulations regarding special education
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative approach with teachers, therapists, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments for students referred for special education services
- Interpret assessment results to determine student eligibility and appropriate interventions
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective individualized education plans
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and student evaluation meetings
- Provide consultative support to teachers and instructional staff to implement recommended strategies and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Keep abreast of best practices in assessment, interventions, and compliance
