Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility
• Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or related field
• Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and eligibility criteria
• Experience conducting and interpreting educational assessments
• Effective communication skills for working with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer and interpret diagnostic assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services
• Develop comprehensive assessment reports and educational recommendations tailored to individual needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning plans and progress
• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, providing insight on student evaluations and instructional strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and Texas education guidelines
• Foster positive relationships to advocate for student success in both general and special education settings
