Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification or eligibility
- Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or related field
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and eligibility criteria
- Experience conducting and interpreting educational assessments
- Effective communication skills for working with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret diagnostic assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Develop comprehensive assessment reports and educational recommendations tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning plans and progress
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, providing insight on student evaluations and instructional strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and Texas education guidelines
- Foster positive relationships to advocate for student success in both general and special education settings
