Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
- Strong knowledge of federal and state guidelines for special education eligibility and evaluations
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments—including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social/emotional domains
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for partnering effectively with families, teachers, and staff
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and compliance
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete formal evaluations and re-evaluations within set timelines
- Interpret testing results and develop thorough written reports
- Provide recommendations to inform the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP conferences
- Collaborate with instructional staff to offer strategies and interventions for student support
- Maintain strict documentation in accordance with district and state regulations
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on assessment processes and eligibility criteria
