Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in Lancaster, TX

Make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary students as an Educational Diagnostician on a contract assignment. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027, offering the chance to collaborate with dedicated school staff and families to promote optimal student outcomes.

As an Educational Diagnostician, you’ll focus on comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized educational plans, and ensuring that students receive the resources necessary for success. Each diagnostician will work at a single school, allowing you to build rapport with staff and students and fully engage with your assigned campus community.

Ideal Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification is required
• Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations and interpreting results
• Strong understanding of RTI, IEP development, and federal/state special education regulations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams, teachers, and families
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and interpret educational assessments for elementary students
• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and collaborate on IEP development
• Provide clear recommendations based on assessment data and collaborate with educators to implement strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with district and state requirements
• Serve as a resource to school staff on identification, eligibility, and instructional planning for students with diverse learning needs
