Bring your expertise in educational diagnostics to a full-time, contract position working with elementary students. This opportunity involves collaborating across campuses nearby to provide crucial assessments and support for learners. You’ll deliver high-quality evaluations and help shape ARDs, working alongside ARD specialists and district teams in a vibrant school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification required
  • Previous experience as an educational diagnostician in Texas public schools highly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting special education evaluations and participating in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) processes
  • Familiarity with elementary-age student needs and special education protocols
  • Ability to travel between school assignments as an itinerant professional
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Completion of district-required fingerprinting/background check prior to start

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations for elementary students as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute expertise during ARDs, partnering with on-campus ARD specialists
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure proper supports and services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely compliance with district and state requirements
  • Adapt to assignments across campuses based on caseload needs
  • Participate in case conferences, provide assessment feedback, and support individualized education plan (IEP) development
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on assessment tools, eligibility requirements, and intervention strategies
