Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success as an Educational Diagnostician in an engaging middle school setting. This full-time role begins as soon as possible and extends through early June 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on learners needing academic assessments and guidance. You’ll be based onsite, serving a caseload of 100-120 students, which includes conducting evaluations and re-evaluations. There is also a possibility of supporting a high school caseload, potentially split between two schools.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Educator Certificate is required
- Educational Diagnostician certification issued by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC)
- Master’s degree in a related field
- At least three years of creditable classroom teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, IEP development, and compliance processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive educational assessments and interpret data for eligibility determinations
- Support the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to ensure student needs are met
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and offer expertise in student evaluation and program planning
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all relevant policies and timelines
