Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Experience conducting academic and cognitive assessments for students
- Familiarity with compliance requirements regarding special education eligibility and programming
- Ability to interpret data, write comprehensive evaluation reports, and present findings clearly to staff and families
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Up-to-date knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding special education
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and score standardized educational and psychological assessments
- Lead evaluation processes to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in coordination with teachers and support staff
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings, providing diagnostic insight to guide programming decisions
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all required documentation procedures
- Offer consultative support to staff regarding effective instructional interventions and accommodations
- Serve as a resource on best practices for supporting diverse learning needs
