Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Mckinney, Texas

Your primary focus will be facilitating ARDs and conducting assessments, helping ensure that every child receives the services they need to thrive. With a manageable caseload of approximately 125 students, you’ll have the chance to make a significant difference. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely one day per week when there are no required on-campus responsibilities.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current certification as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas
• Experience in schools conducting assessments and facilitating ARD meetings
• Strong understanding of special education law and compliance
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
• Comfort with digital recordkeeping and remote work technology

Responsibilities:

• Administer and interpret a variety of educational and psychological assessments
• Prepare and present thorough evaluation reports
• Facilitate ARD committee meetings to develop and review IEPs
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families regarding evaluation results and special education processes
• Work efficiently to meet required deadlines and compliance standards
• Provide consultative support to staff as needed
