Step into an impactful role for the 2026–2027 school year as an Educational Diagnostician. This full-time contract assignment runs through May 21, 2027, providing critical evaluation services to K–12 students across potentially two campuses. The position is designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments and can navigate an itinerant assignment with ease.
In this role, you will:
- Complete comprehensive initial and reevaluation assessments for students in grades K–12.
- Participate in Student Support Team (SST) meetings prior to student referrals.
- Present findings and review evaluation results during ARD meetings.
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports and maintain meticulous documentation to support student success.
- Work closely with campus administrators, special education professionals, classroom teachers, related service providers, and families.
- Ensure all work aligns with Texas and federal regulations, adhering strictly to special education timelines and procedures.
Desired background and qualifications:
- Active Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification (required).
- Prior school-based experience as an Educational Diagnostician strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in evaluating K–12 students and familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and Texas special education statutes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple assignments and navigate between school sites as needed.
- Reliable transportation to support itinerant responsibilities.
