Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Educational Diagnostician for the upcoming school year. This position is based in Porter County, with a home base at SELF school and travel throughout the county to meet the needs of local schools. You will work a total of 7 hours a day, typically between 7:45 am and 3:15 pm, providing essential assessment and diagnostic services. Two positions are available for dedicated professionals eager to make a meaningful impact in educational settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Familiarity with school-based assessment tools and special education regulations
  • Strong skills in evaluation, case management, and report writing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Flexibility to travel between different school sites within the county

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for students referred for special education or related services
  • Collaborate with education teams to interpret evaluation results and develop recommendations
  • Complete detailed reports in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to review cases and support the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain timely and accurate student records and documentation
  • Provide consultative support and guidance to school staff and families as needed
