Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
- Prior experience in assessment and diagnostics within a K-12 school environment
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, special education eligibility, and state/federal regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with parents, students, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable conducting formal and informal assessments and interpreting results
- Proficient in developing documentation and participating in meetings for student support
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret intellectual, academic, behavioral, and other diagnostic assessments
- Evaluate student needs and recommend instructional strategies or accommodations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school personnel, and families to design and review individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ensure compliance with applicable educational laws, policies, and guidelines
- Maintain organized, accurate records and provide timely reporting
- Participate actively in staffing meetings, professional development, and ongoing improvement initiatives
