Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in Odem, TX

Step into an impactful role supporting students’ educational journeys as a full-time Educational Diagnostician. In this contract position, you’ll contribute to student success by evaluating, diagnosing, and addressing exceptional learning needs for a diverse caseload of approximately 100 students in PreK through 5th grade. Choose between convenient workday schedules: 7:30 am–4:30 pm or 8:00 am–5:00 pm, enjoying a full hour for lunch and a balanced, consistent routine.

What we’re seeking:

• Certified Educational Diagnostician credentials
• Proven experience in school-based diagnostic assessments
• Skill in planning and conducting comprehensive student evaluations
• Familiarity with facilitating and documenting ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities
• Commitment to ethical, student-centered practice

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of assessments to determine students’ educational needs
• Interpret evaluation results and clearly communicate findings to teams and families
• Facilitate ARD meetings, ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural requirements
• Create tailored recommendations for intervention and support
• Maintain detailed and accurate records, upholding confidentiality
• Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to promote student achievement
• Remain current with best practices and regulatory requirements in special education
