Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as an Educational Diagnostician
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local special education regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive educational assessments and present findings clearly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform multidisciplinary evaluations for students referred for special education or re-evaluation
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support teams to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Analyze assessment data and recommend appropriate educational interventions
  • Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and communicate results in a supportive manner
  • Provide consultation and support to staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all reporting requirements
