Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local special education regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff
- Ability to conduct comprehensive educational assessments and present findings clearly
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform multidisciplinary evaluations for students referred for special education or re-evaluation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support teams to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Analyze assessment data and recommend appropriate educational interventions
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and communicate results in a supportive manner
- Provide consultation and support to staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all reporting requirements
