Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Pearland, Texas

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as an Educational Diagnostician on a full-time contract assignment near Pearland, TX. In this role, you’ll work 37.5 hours each week within an elementary setting, partnering closely with educators, students, and families to support the assessment and learning needs of a diverse student body. Your skills as a bilingual (Spanish/English) diagnostician will help bridge gaps and ensure all students receive the support they need to thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Educational Diagnostician certification
• Experience serving as an Educational Diagnostician, preferably in a school setting
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required
• Strong knowledge of special education assessments, evaluation tools, and procedures
• Excellent communication skills to support collaboration with families and staff
• Ability to manage an elementary caseload and effectively prioritize tasks
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to special education

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct educational assessments and re-evaluations for students referred for special education services
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to interpret assessment results and develop appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide written reports and recommendations based on evaluation data
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and support staff in implementing accommodations
• Serve as a resource for teachers and parents regarding academic and behavioral interventions
• Ensure all documentation meets compliance timelines and standards
