With a home base at SELF school and travel throughout the county, no two days will be alike as you address evolving needs in student assessment and intervention.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Educational Diagnostician certification required
  • In-depth knowledge of special education evaluation methods, eligibility guidelines, and compliance processes
  • Experience assessing cognitive, academic, and functional skills in a school setting
  • Ability to manage confidential student information with integrity
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexible, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to adapt to different sites and shifting caseloads
  • Committed to fostering inclusive learning environments

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for referred students, utilizing diverse assessment tools
  • Interpret testing results and prepare detailed diagnostic reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor progress and adjust recommendations to support optimal student outcomes
  • Provide guidance and consultative support to school staff throughout the county
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with state and federal regulations

What You'll Experience:

  • Contract position with two roles available, offering flexibility to make an impact county-wide
  • Work hours scheduled for a total of 7 hours per day, typically between 7:45-3:15
  • Home base at SELF school with opportunities to serve various campuses, ensuring variety in your workday
