Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Prairieville, Louisiana

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana DOE Educational Diagnostician Certification required
• Experience working as an Educational Diagnostician in a K-12 setting preferred
• Strong understanding of special education evaluation processes and eligibility criteria
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team
• Willingness to complete district background check and fingerprinting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for students in preschool through grade 12 to identify academic, cognitive, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Serve as a member of the preschool evaluation team, collaborating with other specialists to ensure students receive timely and appropriate assessments
• Prepare clear, detailed reports and participate in eligibility meetings, contributing recommendations for individualized educational programming
• Communicate findings and recommendations to families and staff in a professional, supportive manner
• Manage an assigned caseload and adapt to assignments as school locations and needs are determined
