Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Educational Diagnostician certification in the state of Texas
• Previous experience in an educational setting, preferably with intermediate school-aged children
• Expertise in administering and interpreting educational and psychological assessments
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education eligibility
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Ability to develop, present, and explain evaluation results and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills to manage a sizable caseload while maintaining accurate, compliant records

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate student needs and determine eligibility for special education services
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Serve as an educational resource and advocate for students, ensuring their needs are met in a supportive environment
• Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to parents and educational teams
• Maintain detailed documentation to support compliance with all applicable regulations and timelines
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as a key team member
