Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Educational Diagnostician certification in the state of Texas
- Previous experience in an educational setting, preferably with intermediate school-aged children
- Expertise in administering and interpreting educational and psychological assessments
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education eligibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop, present, and explain evaluation results and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills to manage a sizable caseload while maintaining accurate, compliant records
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate student needs and determine eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Serve as an educational resource and advocate for students, ensuring their needs are met in a supportive environment
- Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to parents and educational teams
- Maintain detailed documentation to support compliance with all applicable regulations and timelines
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as a key team member
