Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in Robstown, TX

Step into a rewarding Educational Diagnostician role where you will work full-time in a dynamic elementary school environment, supporting young learners from Pre-K through 5th grade. This contract position offers set hours—choose from either 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM—with a dedicated hour for lunch, giving you both structure and breathing room throughout your day.

In this impactful position, you will work closely with a diverse caseload of 100 students, conducting critical assessments and playing a vital part in the special education process. Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
• Experience working in a school setting, especially with younger students (PK-5)
• Proficiency in comprehensive educational assessment and report writing
• Familiarity with federal and state special education guidelines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform educational assessments and interpret results to determine student needs
• Facilitate and lead ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings with clarity and empathy
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on intervention strategies
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Maintain detailed student records in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Provide guidance and support for instructional staff regarding accommodations and modifications
