Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Experience with assessments and special education processes for elementary and middle school students (1st–9th grades)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements concerning the identification of students with disabilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in developing and interpreting comprehensive evaluation reports
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to develop effective interventions and supports
- Facilitate and participate in ARD/IEP meetings, ensuring legal compliance and advocacy for students
- Maintain detailed documentation and assessment records in accordance with regulations
- Provide consultative services and training for instructional staff regarding accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies
- Support the implementation of individualized educational plans and monitor student progress
