Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Sherman, TX

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician (preferably in Texas)
• Previous experience working in schools as an Educational Diagnostician or in a related assessment role
• Thorough knowledge of assessment tools, procedures, and legal requirements for special education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret evaluation results to inform educational programming and recommendations

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students referred for special education services using standardized and informal diagnostic instruments
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports detailing evaluation findings and recommendations
• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development
• Provide consultative support and practical guidance to teachers and staff regarding accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Foster open communication lines with families and school personnel to ensure cohesive support for student needs
