Step into a dynamic contract opportunity providing essential support as an Educational Diagnostician. This role is tailored for skilled professionals with a background in Texas public schools, ready to make a meaningful difference across elementary campuses. You will work in-person, engaging with students, families, and staff to facilitate key educational evaluations and participate in processes that ensure students receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification is required
- Several years of experience as an Educational Diagnostician within Texas public schools preferred
- Comfortable with full-time, in-person itinerant assignments—campus locations may vary
- Experience conducting ARDs and educational evaluations, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Willing to clear time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including district fingerprinting and background check
- Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate across multiple campuses
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and eligibility for special education services
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, contributing professional insight and recommendations for programming
- Coordinate with ARD Specialists, campus teams, and other professionals to support individualized education plans
- Manage caseloads effectively, maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Complete required documentation and reporting in a timely and accurate manner
This contract runs from August 12, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule. As an itinerant staff member, caseloads and campus assignments will be determined in collaboration with district needs.
