Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local policies related to special education
- Experience administering educational and cognitive assessments to diverse student populations
- Proficiency interpreting assessment data and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform formal and informal assessments for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to gather essential information regarding student needs and progress
- Analyze testing results to help shape appropriate educational programming
- Prepare comprehensive reports that communicate findings and recommendations clearly
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, contributing vital insights
- Provide guidance and professional development support to school staff on best practices in special education evaluation
