Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in The Colony, TX

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and current certification as an Educational Diagnostician (Diag cert required)
• Proven experience conducting educational and psychological assessments in a school environment
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local special education regulations and processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer standardized achievement, cognitive, and functional assessments for students referred for evaluation
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to interpret data and determine student eligibility for special education services
• Prepare comprehensive, legally compliant evaluation reports
• Participate actively in IEP meetings to provide assessment results and recommendations
• Support students, teachers, and families with guidance on appropriate interventions and instructional strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
