Diagnostician Special Education Teacher | Tomball, Texas

Make a positive impact in a middle school environment by providing expert assessment and support services as an Educational Diagnostician. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with students, staff, and families, focusing on comprehensive evaluations and ARD meetings within a supportive setting. As part of this role, you’ll be stationed in a vibrant middle school, serving the entire campus community.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification required
• Several years of experience as a diagnostician within Texas public schools preferred
• Strong understanding of ARD procedures and evaluation processes
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
• Must be able to work in-person, 40 hours per week
• Completion of district fingerprinting/background check prior to employment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct educational assessments for students, focusing on the middle school age group
• Participate in and support ARD meetings, collaborating with ARD Specialists as needed
• Interpret data and develop appropriate educational recommendations
• Communicate findings clearly to parents, staff, and administrators
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation following district guidelines
• Stay up-to-date with professional best practices and state requirements
