Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Tyler, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas
• Extensive experience in educational diagnostics, including assessment and identification of learning differences
• Solid understanding of federal and state special education regulations
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school team members
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in preparing evaluation reports
• Flexibility for a full-time, in-person schedule throughout the school year

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for referred students, utilizing a variety of tools and assessments
• Interpret assessment results to develop recommendations for instructional approaches and interventions
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise regarding eligibility and service planning
• Provide clear, timely, and thorough evaluation reports for use in IEP and ARD meetings
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to interpret findings and assist with the implementation of effective supports
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Offer consultation to school staff regarding appropriate strategies for supporting students with diverse educational needs
