We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Educational Diagnostician for a school-based opportunity in Valparaiso, IN for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is ideal for an education professional with experience evaluating students, interpreting assessment data, and collaborating with special education teams to determine appropriate educational services and supports.

The Educational Diagnostician will work closely with teachers, school psychologists, special education professionals, administrators, students, and families throughout the evaluation and eligibility process.

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive educational and academic assessments

Evaluate students referred for special education services

Administer, score, and interpret appropriate standardized assessments

Review academic performance, student records, observations, and other relevant data

Prepare clear and accurate evaluation reports

Participate in eligibility, evaluation, and IEP meetings

Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and special education teams

Assist in identifying students' academic strengths and areas of need

Provide recommendations for appropriate interventions, accommodations, and educational services

Maintain accurate documentation and follow state, federal, and district special education requirements

Qualifications:
Appropriate degree in education, special education, educational assessment, or a related field

Must meet applicable Indiana requirements for the position

Previous school-based evaluation or special education experience preferred

Knowledge of special education eligibility and evaluation procedures

Strong assessment, documentation, and report-writing skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to manage multiple evaluations and deadlines effectively

Position Details:

This is a full-time, school-based position in Valparaiso, Indiana. The Educational Diagnostician will work with a multidisciplinary team to support students throughout the evaluation and special education eligibility process.
