High School Elementary Teacher in Alexandria, VA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching experience, particularly in General and/or STEM Education models
• Background working with K-12 students in group settings
• Proficiency in chess, robotics, and entry-level coding concepts
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to travel between multiple campuses in the DC metropolitan area
• Reliable transportation for short commutes in the region

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct after-school sessions (5-10 hours weekly) between 3-6pm, depending on campus scheduling
• Develop and deliver lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork
• Engage students of varied ages and skill levels, adapting instruction as needed
• Support a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
• Collaborate with staff and coordinators to monitor student progress
